DESCRIPTION:On November 14\, 2022\, where done the diabetes information cam
 paign\, organized for the children from VI and VII classes\, Sf. Vasile Sc
 hool\, Ploiesti.\nThe purpose of the campaign was to educate students aged
  between 10 and 13 about:\n- risk factors in relation to diabetes (sedenta
 ry\, unbalanced nutrition\, obesity\, stress)\;\n- recognizing the onset o
 f the disease: excessive thirst\, excessive urine\, excessive hunger\, wei
 ght loss.\nThe children received information on the types of diabetes\, sy
 mptoms\, risk factors and prevention.\nThe goal of the campaign is to prom
 ote a healthy lifestyle to prevent diabetes and control the disease if it 
 is installed.\nThe psychologist Iuliana Gheroghe\, Lions Ploiesti Club col
 laborator\, made a series of recommendations to the children regarding:\n-
  keeping a normal body weight\;\n- daily movement (walking)\;\n- adopting 
 a correct diet\;\n- removing saturated fats from daily diet (by reducing m
 eat consumption and replacing fish\, replacing sunflower oil with olive oi
 l\, avoiding roasted food in oil)\;\n- eating fresh vegetables and fruits 
 as well as whole grains (by replacing white bread with whole or rye bread\
 , whole grains at the morning and evening meals\, avoiding pasta\, white p
 asta and reducing sweets and cakes\, as well as sugar-sweetened soft drink
